Trekking in Bhutan is itself a rewarding experience full of adventures and cultural exploration. Most of the trekking routes start with a gentle uphill climb to high mountain passes and green valleys. As we climb higher the scenery and landscape dramatically changes and we come across various species of colorful flowers, wildlife including Bhutan’s national animal, Takin, hilltop Dzongs and natural hot springs on the way. We enjoy the majestic beauty of the soaring Himalayas, the serenity of the mountains and in the rural settlements we interact with the rural people. The farmhouses give way to the semi nomadic settlements in the higher altitude above 4000m. Walking for several hours through evergreen, oak and bamboo forests the trails bring us to isolated villages where we can experience the lifestyle of the Bhutanese people, their culture and tradition.
In remote destinations far from towns, villages we organize camping treks across the kingdom. Our friendly crew takes care of all the logistics, from setting up the tents to preparing delicious and fresh foods. The camping gear are carried by ponies and belled –yaks followed by Bhutanese trekking guides and other crew members.
